CONNECTOR TOOLING & PLASTIC COMPONENTS

Connector Molds & Precision Plastic Components

Fine molding details developed around terminal position, assembly fit and reliable component handling.

Tooling and molded-part scope

We support connector plastic components, connector-related inserts and complete molding tools. The scope can cover fine cores and cavities, trial tooling, production molds, molded housings and agreed downstream operations. A connector assembly combining thermoplastic, metal and silicone can be reviewed as a coordinated program, while the acceptance of each material region and manufacturing step remains clearly defined.

Focus on the functional interfaces

Identify terminal cavities, pitch, mating and polarization features, latch geometry, insert locations and surfaces used by assembly equipment. State where flash, gate witness or deformation could interfere with terminal insertion or mating. We review resin grade, filler and processing requirements together with the tool’s fine features and the method used to check them. The material family alone does not establish a finished connector’s electrical or thermal rating.

MaterialSelected grade, filler, color, intended temperature exposure and required material documentation.
ToolingCavity quantity, fine forming pins and inserts, gate/parting strategy, spare components and target equipment.
ValidationDimensions, flash zones, fit with actual terminals and mating parts, and specified functional tests.
HandlingBulk, tray, tube or tape presentation; orientation; pick-up surface; protection of fragile features.

Development and repeat supply

Start with a trial objective: prove a fine feature, check terminal assembly, compare a material or validate a production tool. Samples are identified by drawing revision, material and cavity where relevant. After dimensional and functional approval, the production definition connects the mold, material, inspection and packing. This also supports a later tool handover when production will be performed at the customer’s factory.

Assembly and packaging are part of the discussion

Where required, we review insert loading, assembly fixtures, inspection, pick-up-cap integration and packaging format. Packaging-tool development and a completed automated line are separate scopes. The proposal identifies whether the order is for molded components, tooling, a defined workstation or a broader production system.
