COMPLETE MOLDS

Production molds.
Not only micro molds.

Conventional injection, two-shot, multi-component and insert-molding tools.

Our precision component capability supports the mold as a complete working assembly: forming surfaces, shut-offs, slides, ejection, thermal control and interfaces with the production machine. We build tools for production at NewwaySmart or delivery to your own factory.

Mold fitting and assembly work area

Four common project routes

Conventional single-material molds: single or multiple cavities, suitable runner systems, replaceable forming details, side actions and ejection selected for the part. The focus is repeatable parts and maintainable tooling, not unnecessarily expensive construction.

Two-shot and 2K/3K molds: separate material shots with their own cavities, interfaces and processing requirements. We review rotary-platen, index or transfer arrangements against the actual molding machine. Two-shot is not simply two colors added to an ordinary tool.

Insert molds: metal or plastic components are located before injection. Insert variation, loading access, support against injection forces, shut-offs and protection of threads or functional areas are included in DFM.

Overmolding and silicone integration: a substrate receives an additional material in a defined sequence. Material compatibility, mechanical retention or bonding, substrate temperature limits and inspection are agreed before cutting steel. LSR tooling remains a distinct process route.

From precision components to a production-ready tool

Small pins and close-fitting inserts demonstrate one part of our engineering capability. A complete mold also requires the right machine envelope, stiffness, cooling, flow balance, venting, action sequence and maintainability. We therefore review the whole program rather than promising every mold based on one precision figure.

Tool constructionCavitation, steel grades, hardness, runner design, cooling circuits, ejection and component standards.
Multi-material interfacesSequence, substrate retention, shrinkage interaction, insert loading, alignment and interface flash limits.
Tool trialsAction checks, sample identification by cavity, process records, dimensions, appearance and functional tests.
DeliveryApproved samples, agreed tool documentation, spares, maintenance instructions and packaging appropriate to shipment.

Start with a component or a complete program

You can order the mold, selected cores and inserts, trial work or molded production separately. We can also manage the complete route through molding, secondary finishing, inspection, assembly, automation and final packing, with specialist processes coordinated to the same technical requirements.
