PROFILE TOOLING & EXTRUSION DEVELOPMENT

Extrusion Tooling & Custom Profiles

Custom plastic sections and packaging-tube tooling, developed around profile fit, material behavior and the supplied length.

Scope of supply

We support profile review, extrusion-tooling development, trial lengths and agreed production of customer-specific sections. IC packaging tubes are one documented application, including profiles, controlled lengths and matching end components. The mold website focuses on tooling and engineering development rather than presenting every existing packaging product as an unrestricted stock item.

Review the cross-section and the length together

Specify the internal and external dimensions, wall distribution, mating or sliding clearances and the finished length. The review covers the extrusion die, any required sizing and downstream operations as part of the selected process. Straightness, twist, cut-end condition and functional fit need their own acceptance criteria; a cross-section drawing alone does not define every requirement of a delivered profile.

ProfileDimensioned cross-section, critical wall areas, reference datums and mating-component information.
MaterialExact polymer grade or selection requirements, transparency/color and specified electrical or temperature performance.
Length and conditionCut length, allowable straightness/twist, end finish, protective requirements and any secondary holes or features.
ToolingNew profile or controlled revision, intended equipment, tooling ownership and required spare details.
AcceptanceCross-section measurements, length checks, fit or feeding evaluation and project-specific tests.

Packaging-tube development

For electronic-component tubes, provide the component package drawing, loading orientation, guide surfaces, desired count per length and stopper or end-plug requirements. Clarify which surfaces may contact leads or delicate features. Specified antistatic, conductive or temperature properties must refer to the selected material and finished tube rather than the polymer family alone.

From profile trials to delivery

Trial sections are checked against the drawing and representative mating parts. Record material and tooling revision so approved changes can be traced. The production agreement defines profile and length acceptance, inspection frequency where required, marking, packing and repeat-order quantities. Tool-only and finished-profile supply can be discussed separately; equipment compatibility and the scope of process support are agreed before commitment.
