Instrument Enclosure Molds & Plastic Housing Production
Custom enclosure tooling and molded housing supply, from first functional samples to repeat production and agreed assembly.
Parts that fit the instrument, not only the drawing outline
We support enclosure bodies, covers, mounting and interface components within a customer-defined plastic housing program. The supply may be individual mold components, a complete mold or molded parts. Provide the internal assembly, fastening points, ports, switches or display interfaces and the condition in which the housing will be inspected. A tolerance should protect a real fit, alignment or function rather than be copied to every surface.
Material and appearance review
Specify the resin grade or describe the loads, temperature, chemical exposure and electrical requirements for selection. Define color and texture, visible areas, permissible gate and parting-line marks, and any later painting or printing. Where inserts, seals or multi-material regions are included, their incoming condition and final assembly test are reviewed as part of the overall product definition.
| Assembly interfaces | Mounting datums, cover fit, fastening, component clearances and protected contact surfaces. |
| Tooling | Cavity quantity, side actions, local inserts, runner approach and target machine where the mold is exported. |
| Product checks | Dimensions, appearance, assembly and customer-specified environmental or functional tests. |
| Secondary operations | Agreed machining, suitable plating/coating, painting, printing, marking, joining and packing. |
| Demand and timing | Prototype or pilot quantities, repeat demand, variant mix, approval milestones and destination. |
From a prototype to a production tool
An early engineering discussion can begin with a sketch or reference sample. The next stage establishes controlled drawings, material and acceptance requirements. Trial tooling or samples can help answer fit and function questions before the production tool is finalized. We separate the evidence needed for a development sample from the records and checks needed for repeat supply.
Tool maintenance and production changes
Existing tooling can be reviewed for component replacement or an approved housing revision. Send the parent-tool information, latest product drawing and evidence of the current problem. Where a changed insert affects assembly, surface treatment or inspection, those items are updated together. For repeat production, the accepted material, drawing, process and packing definitions remain linked to the order.
Can we order only the molds or replacement components?
Yes. Component-only, complete-tool and molded-production orders are separate options. The quotation defines the supplied condition, inspection, fitting responsibility, spare parts and handover documentation for the chosen route.
